paul john george easy e ice cube ringo and dr. dre

So I heard this song on the radio today and while listening to it I was like, wait, this is really good. This sounds like the Beatles, but I kinda hope its not the Beatles. I'd love it if this were some new indie rock band, cause I've definitely lost faith in most new indie rock bands but I always get really excited when a really amazing one stands out of the crowd and surpasses my expectations and basically becomes my No. 1 Stunna. But still, this really sounds like the Beatles.

Turns out it wasn't the Beatles! But it was Paul McCartney's band that he formed after the B-boys broke up in 1970. They're called WINGS! Loveeee it. Way to like completely predict the mid-2000s trend in band-naming that is just a pluralized noun
without a "The" preceding it. I'm looking at you Foals, Liars, Islands, Black Lips, and Nephews.

Oh and please note that the song is called "Let 'Em In" and it starts with the doorbell ring that my grandma had played on some kind of vibraphone. Can you say purrrfect?

So the bottom line is that I think its finally time to let the Beatles and their side and solo projects infiltrate my music collection. I've resisted my entire life (and my parents never showed me the light), but I think the time has come to man up to the fact that theres a reason that they're considered the greatest band of all time.
